What does the electricity price hike mean to you
The idiot’s that be NERSA have decided to allow Eskom a 24.8% fee increase on electricity this year and more next year.
How will this effect you? Let’s go through figures:
An average small household uses about R500 in electricity each month. You will now have to fork out an extra R124.00 for the same amount of electricity.
The implications of this increase reach far wider than just the every day consumer - what about those small businesses already struggling?
Keep in mind that Eskom is the same company that’s being paying it’s top management massive salaries and bonuses.
