A Message to Startup Founders

Starting and running a business is hard work - you already know this though. Here’s a list I would like to share with you and hopefully you might find inspiration in someone else’s words.

1. Don’t ever give up - keep innovating
2. Sleep more
3. Keep things exciting
4. Ask for help when you need it
5. Put your pride in your pocket
6. Shamelessly promote yourself
7. Hire the right people
8. Be actively involved in your business - physically and mentally
9. External funding is evil, try go without it as far as you can
10. Show your employees that they are valuable to you and your business
11. Create tangible value in your products or services
12. Give back to the community where ever you can
13. Don’t be afraid to lead
14. Don’t be afraid of criticism
15. Don’t be afraid failure
16. Keep pushing boundaries like a child pushing buttons
17. Don’t subscribe to the cliques - they’re short lived
18. Make sure you build a business that can pass the sleep test
19. Stop being ordinary
20. Release early and release often
21. Stay humble
22. Communicate, communicate, communicate
